Java moss, water lettuce, Christmas moss, Java fern, dwarf hairgrass!
Hopefully all goes well, all I have on it is a light, I’m not using fertilizer, heater, or filter! Inhabitants are one baby mystery snail, trumpet snail, and a pond snail (so far! Maybe the pond snail will make more!)
The substrate is mud (collected from the yard and rinsed) and black diamond blasting sand, and the rocks are ohko! I’ll toss in cuttlebone time to time to keep the water ph decent! It’s a giant mason jar, with a little sun on the side that I think is cute. Found the jar at a thrift store.
The lid hides it, but there’s about two inches of air between the lid and the water, for the snail and the water lettuce. The lid has air holes (many) drilled in.
The Christmas moss came in poor shape because of the temps out, so hopefully it bounces back!
