Pothos

I planted my 2 leaf rooted cutting in a 4inch pot (inner rim is 9cm, almost same height). The root ball was tiny, but I didn’t have another pot available. Will this be ok? Or should I consider repotting into smaller makeshift pot? (Potting mix is garden soil + lot of perlite)

I am new to pothos, I have 1 plant and this is my first rooted cutting that I purchased. Unsure if I’ve messed up the pot size requirements 😕
Any help/advice appreciated.

The pot is maybe a little large for that cutting, but it may do just fine. Looks okay to me. Pothos like to develop their roots before new leaf growth comes, so it may be a long time before you see any new leaves, but that’s okay! If the roots were more than an inch or so long, I’d say just leave it for several months. Anecdotally, I had a rooted cutting about this size take almost a year to fill the pot with roots before making new leaves. Now two years later it’s wrapped halfway around the living room! Be very careful not to over water, that much soil can hold too much water and drown the plant. I recommend bottom watering.
