Should I cut my losses and cut this growing bell pepper off?

So I was beyond thrilled I had one bell pepper incoming so far. Yesterday was hoooooott and a leaf that above it under the heat of the sun, dropped on top of it, giving this lovely mark on my bell pepper. Should I remove it so it can focus on pushing out some more flowers, or let this rock? To me, the spot felt soft but wanted to ask more experienced gardeners than I. I'll probably hold a funeral for this bell pepper. The 2nd and 3rd pics was what it looked like yesterday.
