Hydroponics

One month into my indoor micro Aquaponics with a planted tank.

Everything is growing like gangbusters. I had some algae bloom at the very start. I stuck the Swiss cheese plant in when it had 3 leaves, and it’s been doing a LOT of heavy lifting. It puts out a new leaf every week or so and its root system in the water is 3x bigger than when I first put it in.

The water is always clear, and the pH hangs around 7.6, and I’ve been changing 10% water once a week. Overall it’s only like 30 minutes of work a week now that it’s up and running.

The tank has cherry shrimp, Amano shrimp, endler guppies, and one albino bristlenose pleco.

Love the bamboo channels, 5.8 ph is ideal for your setup, but i understand if you have a living aquaponic setup below that can’t handle the zest of 5.8
