Mexican Olive a lost cause?

I planted the Mexican Olive before hurricane Beryl. Sadly, the storm came in my direction and the little tree suffers. I have since removed the tree and put it into a pot to try and nurse it back to health. Is there anything I can do or just let nature take its course? I can buy another one. . but what fun is that 😊
