I have a relatively large area where I can build out a garden and I'm trying to figure out the best way to design it. I moved in late in the season and was only able to get in a small temporary experimental rasied bed shown in the picture. I am going to be siding my raised beds with pine timber similar to the bed shown (but not as sloppy). The bed shown has two sides with a path of chamomile down the center that i walk on to weed the inside.. I have pretty dry dirt and so raised beds are going to be a requirement…with all that being said, would you do lots of smaller beds like what is shown? Should I do a few larger beds? Should they be square? Should I extend the current bed out and make it longer than it is wide? I know its a very broad question and my only limit is my imagination but I am hoping to tap into others more experienced imaginations for this design….
