Mycotrophs are the plants that got me into botany. I find it so fascinating that they associate so closely with mycelium that they no longer use photosynthesis. I find lots of Phantom Orchids (Cephalanthera austiniae), Pine Drips (Pterospora), and Snow Plants (Sarcodes sanguinum) but until this year never found this guy. Now I’ve seen two in different forest this summer. Stoked!
