A variety of prop confusion

My mom bought a succulent bowl at a big box store. She gave it a lot of love, it became too compact in its planter, I decided I had a green thumb and chopped a bunch of it off… possibly too much, but that isn’t the issue.

I have never propagated a succulent, and google just keeps telling me these are ‘plants’ which is less than helpful. Do I leave them in water like with basil leaves? There are several varieties and it feels like there is so much opportunity here.

Excellent! They look great as they are!

You can place them root side down on cactus soil mix and lightly mist them. They’ll eventually start to grow tiny roots and as the mother plant shrivels, the baby continues to grow. You look like you have some “hen and chicks” (the flower looking ones) there.
