Chilli pot had been dug up and soil was on the floor decided to put it back on. Found this inside the pot. Thought it was a root at first but is quite big. Any ideas what this could be and should I just throw it away, it feels quite hard and has some small fibres on it.

Honestly from just this it looks like a lump of plastic that an animal has chewed. Maybe a fox or squirrel and it’s dumped it in your garden? If it’s organic seeming I think we need more details.
