Welcome Gardeners. . .I just got off work and am heading to the Dollar Tree to see what fun stuff I can find for my garden. The Dollar Tree does have cheap prices for garden supplies but are they worth it? I will give you my honest opinion on what I like and what I don’t like. Garden Happy is a small space garden located in California zone 9b I’m always gardening on a budget!

  1. The dollar tree does have cheap prices BUT are they worth it??? In my opinion (based on personal experience) some of their stuff is very good and definitely worth more than 1.25 HOWEVER. . . . some stuff is bad. hahaha 😆😆😆

  2. So glad I came across your video. Love your ideas you’re straightforward talk I love your accent. Thank you love the new ideas for dollar tree.

  3. Those gloves will Crumble if left in sun, pass.
The labels are more expensive than buying bulk on Amazon.
Potting soil way too much too. Get 10x at Wally.
My mom loves those humming bird feeders. It's about location and how much sugar in water 💧
Fairy garden looks fun. I have the solar lights 3 years now they are good.
Don't leave any plastic outside it will break by end of season.
😢 those stones break after 2 seasons. It's concrete and absorb water. Seeds are wonderful here I buy all flowers and basics here. Yes they sprout ❤ cheapest place for seeds!
If you're a 1st time Gardner you can start a garden here for $20. So if cost is issue then yes start here. Better thaN nothing. ❤ great ideas. 👍

  4. I bought some of those hummingbird feeders for,had them 2 seasons and the hummers did come to the feeders ,got some really good videos.Just don't try to wash in the dishwasher they will melt.

  5. Impatiens is very easy to grow from seed. The seeds are not tiny and germinate easily. Impatiens loves a half sun/shady, moist environment. It is named Impatiens because after it sets seed in pods, when they are ripe they explode at the slightest touch. Fun! Impatiens is good for rubbing on poison ivy to help relieve the itch. Wild impatiens often lives in the same sort of environment as poison ivy.

  6. My dollar tree sells the cloches so I am getting some since my rhubarb is already up and I live in Wisconsin. I have had great luck with the seed. I did a comparison in my garden alternating rows of wax beans using dollar trees seeds, MIgardner seeds, and Burpee. Dollar seeds did have less seeds in the packs. I needed two packs of dollar tree to match the burpee seed pack but it is comparing seeds at .25 each to $2..99 each. Germination and production were almost equal, I could not tell a difference. I did not like the potting soil from dollar tree at all.

  7. She just saved me 12 minutes of walking around Dollar Tree. and saved my wife from waiting in the car. 😅🌱

  8. There was a time in my life when I never would think of shopping at a dollar store. Then I got older- and wiser! Why would I spend $8 for catnip when I can spend a $1.25 for the same stuff? And it’s even grown in the USA!!

  9. Your voice is so smoothing, I Love it! I can Garden listening/watching to you! 1st time Gardening & its working Thank you for helping me… New sub here from Tampa Fl🌴🌞🌀

  10. I really appreciate your calming voice, and your channel. Please don't throw your gloves away, better for Mother Earth if you wash them. The less stuff in the landfills and oceans the better for all of us.❤😊

  11. Don't plant Morning Glory. It's an invasive plant. You better be able to plant it far, far away from anything else. It was able to pull my climbing rose bushes down and tangled them up in their vines. 5 years later, I'm still pulling it up to save them!

  12. At 6:15 there are some needle-nose snips hanging next to the lights you're showing. I picked up one of those and it's handy for little plants that I start from seed.
