I have tried using some similar looking moss that I have gotten from walls as well but they brown in an enclosed terrarium.
I have not tried again since but I suspect a lot of the more common city moss that you can find do not do too well in a fully enclosed one as the humidity will be too high for them and they are used to basking in the sun. A terrarium with a small slit with some misting every 3 days or so might be good for these.
