Your soil looks a bit too moist so they may be rotting. I have a few jade plants and they really like the soil or potting medium to fully dry and stay dry for a bit between waterings. Some of the bigger ones in the pot at the top of the first pic are salvageable! Try planting them on dry soil and water a little after a few days or more

You provided no information on what you’ve been doing so it would be pretty difficult for anyone to give you an answer.

soil is too wet. put on dry soil only until good roots form. then lightly moisten soil with a spray bottle. do not repot until pup has developed and mother leaf has been used up.

  4. I take it that you ask why your leaves rot before giving new plants. And my answer is soil. After you pick the leaves off the plant, leave them at a dry area with good airflow for a while to get the seperation wound to callous. Then you can place em on moist sterilized soil or moist inorganic aggregate to encourage root growth. After you see a root or two, only then you can plant them. Even at that stage, I prefer keeping them in my transparent nursery box with moist perlite to give them more time to develop additional roots.

They grow for a long while only by absorbing whatever nutrient is in the mother leaf. And the mother leaf is plenty good at holding nutrients. Plopping them willy nilly on soil only gives bacteria a hearty snack.

Edit: They do not need soil, aggregate or even any contact on the developing point to shoot roots. There are people that hang their leaves on walls or windows by making a necklace thing out of them with string and needle. The method I have explained worked best for me, may not work out at all for you. Research is your friend.

In my experience just take some dry succulent mix spread out the leaves and leave them in the brightest Sun you can. Don’t water them till you see roots. When you do see roots make sure they are kept SLIGHTLY moist. Like 1 spritz a week.

To much water. Don’t even water those. Listen, here’s a tip, take the leave and just put them atop of a dry pot of soil. Roots will form and only when they start having tiny.leaves and the leaf you put.to propagate is dead you can water. The new succulents will feed off that leaf until it is shriveled and dead.

A second way is you take a sting and needle pop it through the tops of leaves like a.popcorn candy necklace and hang it in a window.

  7. As others said, rotting. Pluck off leaves, forget it for like a few days so it callous(harden). Then spray it periodically.

I have the same problem but live in a basement it’s too humid down here for most succulents.
