I got this plant as a gift and noticed a) it’s actually two different plants! and b) they were glued into the pot. I went ahead and separated/removed them because I had a feeling they’d be happier that way (the moss was glued to the pot and the other one—tillandsia?—was glued to the moss, but they came out mostly intact).
I peeled off the parts of the base that were brown and loose and then gave them both the quickest dip in the world because I wasn’t sure they had been watered recently (it was like two minutes in room temp water), and I’m just wondering if the tillandsia (?) looks like it’ll be okay? Did I make a mistake by separating them? Also—can anyone confirm what kind of plant it is?
