No, this one is not good. When I started I had the same one but with 2 lights. I wish I hadn’t wasted the money because it didn’t do anything for my plants. I now use a 36 Watts Sansi grow light and my nepenthes are very happy and have a nice red tinge on the leaves. Barrina is also often recommended but I cannot get that in my country.

I can’t answer for this light specifically but I’ve used one similar and it didn’t perform well.

My top 3 reccomendation for grow light brands, Viparspectra, FoxGarden, and Sansi. I recently started upgrading my greenhouse lights (nepenthes section) and my plants are loving the viparspectra p2000 and v1000 lights.

One noteworthy thing: reputable light brands typically have a par / ppfd map, typically companies that volunteer this information are using decent components.

not really, look into a mars hydro or spider farmer quantum board thing

  4. No, they need full spectrum with oomf. Absolutely blast them with the whitest grow light you can get.

I’ve not long bought a grow light for my Cape Sundew to supplement the limited sunlight they get here in the UK.

I bought the one below, it’s by no means the biggest, best or brightest, but so far, in the week I’ve had it, it’s helped the dew return.

It’s only big enough for one or two small plants, but I am seeing my other Cape Sundews that aren’t directly under it, start to grow towards it, leading me to believe it is actually doing something.

My plants usually get about 4-5h of direct sunlight in the mornings (if it’s not overcast), where I then put this light on for the remainder of the day.
