Succulent Plants

Just received these and directions go against what I thought I knew

Hello. I am back for more help. I just purchased this 12 pack. I gave them a good bottom watering and have them in the house right now.

The directions say that they like moderate to low light indoors. I am confused. I thought good light for tjese. I have identified most of them except the 2 cactus like ones.

My question is can I put them out in the summer on my patio like I do my other? Also, should I put them under the grow lights for winter?

Thank you.

All of my succulents do well (9b) outside in mostly sun and indoors near windows.

I have some in less light and they do pretty good too!

I think all of those need at least moderate light. All would be full-sun candidates in my garden!

they need lots of light to get that stress color

They all want as much light as you can give them, but they may need to be acclimated to direct sun. The three sempervivums are frost-tolerant, and can stay outside year-round.

They mostly look like they’d like a bunch of light, and I think the the sempervium would like to be outside in the ground! 🙂 The two fuzzy ones are some version of a panda plant (kalenchoa tormentosa??) and bears paws (don’t know the formal name). They might like a little bit of shade, but still not too protected!

GRADUALLY introduce them bc chances are they’ve been kept in pretty low light until now. start with maybe a few hours in the morning. gradually move them into more and more sun hours.

eta. yes they can all be kept outside 24/7 after an introduction. just beware of frost and freeze. some are more tolerant than others.

Most succulent directions are awful. So much is dependent on soil and conditions that blanket instructions never seem relatable to mine.
