Hi could someone name this plant for me and also tips for it

Hi I got this plant back in 2021. although i’ll admit I did neglect it and the roots died / smushed by rocks so now it’s only one leaf. I’m not sure what type it is and it has this brown/black stuff on it so any tips would be nice!
