Carnivorous Plants

I have a few questions about the Flytrap my mom got for me

I live in Greensburg PA, and my mom just got me this Flytrap for my birthday. I don't know how to care for it right, and if the conditions will work out. I don't know what kind of soil is there, it came with the plant and I wasn't there to ask questions when she bought it.

What should I do to care for it? Is a ceramic pot ok to put it in? Is the current pot big enough? How often should I water it? I pretty much need as much care info as possible.

Also, what are those pods on the top of it?

Congrats on your first Venus Fly Trap! The instructions on that tag missed some things.
I would put the pot in a dish, where you can bottom water by adding a DISTILLED water (or rain water) up to 1 inch level. It will be happier outside in the sun.
    Yours has a flower stem!

Op there’s a lot of good posts on this group about how to repot, and when to repot, and more importantly- what to avoid. Off the top of my head, if you repot, please research appropriate soils and mixes, avoid unglazed terra cotta pots, only water with distilled or rain water. Remember these plants grow in the wild in bogs, so you’ll want to set the pot in a small dish with water.
