Philodendron

Nonstop leaves, crispy edges

The love of my life (I would kill for her) had some scoliosis when I bought her so I did a good ‘ol chop and prop.

Her leaf edges have always been a bit crispy probably because I live in 20% humidity Colorado.

The three young leaves in pic3 were grown under my care. The pea-sized leaf in pic4 was the last leaf grown at the store I got her from.

Is her only problem lack of humidity? I hope she’ll adapt. And maybe grow some of her leaves bigger before creating more.

Just saying, if you would kill for her, why not get a cheap humidifier to actually make her happy? All of your other plants will love it also! You can find them cheap on FB marketplace. I suggest going for a chunky one with a large tank so you don’t have to refill as often. 🙂

It would be hard to diagnose other issues with the current apparent humidity issues. I’d say get a humidifier, pebble tray with water, and/or a moss pole that you consistently mist to raise ambient humidity, keep an eye out with humidifiers and leaf misting because if your water is hard it can leave mineral build uo on the leaves. Good luck!

Maybe it doesn’t like your tap water if that’s what you use to water. Some plant leaves brown in response to additives they don’t like in tap. Try filtered, distilled, or rain water
