They’re firm and feel healthy but the slight brown discoloration and gel seem like bad signs to me I’m new to this so I have no idea currently this is 6 days in and I’ve only changed the water today
Don’t disturb the gel, it is a way the plant can absorb the water more efficiently with tiny little hairlike roots. They look good. Black is the bad color browns of most shades is fine.
