Berries

Berry ID please: northern Indiana, zone 6A

I was out cutting brush today and found a number of these bushes growing with berries on them. Plant.id says they are Viburnum opulus var. americanum, American Bush Cranberry, with a 98% confirmation on the app. Is this correct and if so, are the berries edible? I am in northern Indiana, zone 6A.

The app is correct. They are edible, but for most aren’t palatable, they’re mostly ornamental plants. They are best used in jellies or things where you add a lot of sugar, but still may not be super great.
