Is this a tree of heaven or smooth sumac? Should it be so close to the house?

Don't judge the mess, I'm in the middle of some projects 😅. The leaves are stinky when rubbed and it sends up suckers. I personally think it's pretty, but I will eventually rent this unit out and don't want to nurture anything invasive.
