aglanonema leaves keep loosing color before turning brown and limp

I've tried looking at some other diseases but none look like this, there's black spots on the underside so I'm thinking it's fungi? any advice will help, I don't want it to die 😭 I don't water often, only once the soil is dried by like an inch down. it's currently setting in a north facing window with no direct sunlight

This is fungal (root rot) from being watered too frequently. It needs to dry more prior to watering.

With more than 400 plants that never cause a problem and a green 12 y/o Aglaonema, these red Aglaonemas are not being cultivated properly by the growers and there are many very weak cultivars. Have had mine for more than a year and it does the same thing as yours.

I finally cut some of the stems down and rooting them in water. Took almost 8 weeks before I saw a single root, but the remaining nodes do show signs of new roots forming. Can’t wait to see if these will do the same thing.

    This is my 12 y/o – purchased as a 6″ plant:

Stick with the green varieties and avoid the red.
