I planted this maple 2 years ago and it had a stub as a leader at the time, looked like it was pruned at the nursery. This year the growth has been pretty significant but it's looking more like a menorah each month this summer rather than the center taking off.
Curious what may be the best approach here. I've been pruning the bottom branches each year but haven't tackled the top yet, aside from one branch that was growning outwards and was the tallest at that time.
