My son and I built this bin and I’m super pumped to get started.
It’s leveled on blocks and pavers and the wood will have no contact with the ground.
Starting with a layer twigs and woods chips on the bottom. The brown can beside it is full of material from my earth machine that is full of very wet compost – a mix of kitchen scraps, wood chips, and other greens and browns.
My idea was to layer it in one side to dry out and start an aerobic pile on the other side.
Do you think I should try to heat up the compost in the brown can?
Thoughts? Directions? TIA
