What’s going on with my droopy cactus?

The arms started drooping a few weeks ago. The only thing I changed recently is moving it into a sunny window (which I thought would be better, because cactus). I don’t water it very often (a little every two weeks or so, last time was about a week ago), and the soil feels very dry at the moment. What could be the problem?

A common problem with cacti and succulents is etiolation. This is when a succulent stretches or becomes leggy. Reply with “!etiolation” for advice.

It might react like this because of the sudden sun exposure. You should always gradually change the location of plants. During summer cacti needs water every ten days or so. If it’s bone-dry, you should water again.

that may just be its natural growth habit. There are some species of creeping opuntia.
