I’ve used a variety of moss i found in the mountains on a substarate i mixed from garden soil and coir from phoenix roebelenii and dry foxtail fern needles , over some fine pebbles for drainage , and for plants- mint, couple stems of portulaca, jade plant leaves and Mother of thousands’ babies.

Great work!! Make sure you get springtails in there and enough humidity and you should be all set. Look into nerve plants, they can get some color in your setup. Make sure to update us!!
