Hi all! This is my garden and I have mature plants growing on the wall at the back which is someone else's house. I believe the plants were planted several years prior to me buying the house. Am I allowed to grow plants on someone's back wall which borders my garden? Thanks!

Yes.
As long as you don’t fix anything to their wall, e.g., trellis without permission and you don’t plant anything that would cause damage like ivy, you would be fine. I believe that if they wanted to perform maintenance on their house e.g. repointing or painting, they would be entitled to remove the plants from their wall.
Best to plant stuff that is free standing or build a frame in front of the wall without attaching anything directly to the wall.
