Fiddle Leaf Fig

Propagation Help!

I topped my fig two weeks ago, applied root powder, and planted it in proper potting soil. I’ve consistently misted the leaves to stay hydrated, and it sits in my south facing window where it gets plenty of indirect light. The leaves have wilted considerably since I planted it. More concerning, I’ve noticed black edges forming on two of its leaves. What’s wrong? What can I do to perk up the leaves and stop the black edges from growing? Thanks, any advice will be greatly appreciated!

I wish I could help, I have only done water propagation. You might want to pull it out of the soil and give that a try. I always put mine in a vase that supports the leaves. I would give it a trim before putting it in water if you go that route. Is the soil possibly too wet?
