I’m following to see the answer for this. I had some peach trees in my yard that produced the same type of goo. I was told it was peach tree disease. I’m not sure how accurate that was but we have since cut the trees down. The fruit as well as the trunk/bark had these gooey areas on them. We live in the city and people would pick the peaches and eat them. We cut the trees down for a couple reason, with that being one of them. I miss my peach trees. 😢
