We got a pineapple as a gift. How do we take care of it?

We got a pineapple as a gift a couple of months ago. It used to be green, but same size. Are we doing something wrong? It should be growing in size, right?

We both know next to nothing about plant care, and killed a poor chili a while back.

Thank you!

It looks very ripe. Most homegrown pineapples don’t get that large.

  2. Pick the pineapple. Peel a few leaves from the bottom of the baby pineapple stem and set it in a cup of water for a while. Congrats, now you have 2 pineapple plants

You’re doing it right! Let the soil dry out before watering it, give it lots of light and a stable temperature all year round.

It will grow bigger if you give it a bigger pot. If you have the right climate, it will grow to the size of a tree outdoors.

The average fruit is around that size, but some varieties have bigger fruit.

Put it on pizza? But seriously, that’s so cool! What a gorgeous plant.
