Welcome to our home in the Bulgarian countryside where time seems to have stood still. We live in a pretty village not far from the Black Sea where we are attempting to reclaim a small abandoned Homestead with our 12 rescue animals.
It’s summertime here at the moment and life is even slower than usual due to the heat. Today we will be travelling over the Balkan mountains to do some more renovation work on our 200 year old house that we recently purchased for just £6000. We will also be preparing some seasonal food from the garden. We are at the very start of our journey in reclaiming this garden. And so I will take you on a short tour and talk about the plans we have. We also have a new puppy that we have just rescued.

Your videos are lovely and chilled, thank you for sharing. The revival property will be stunning when finally refurbished.
Your project looks wonderful but I am concerned that you made this video in July, during a heatwave, and that you had an open fire BBQ. The grass close by looks very dry. Did you check with the authorities before you lit the fire – to ascertain if a fire ban was in place? There have been fire bans in many areas. Just one spark can start a huge bushfire. If you did check, well done but if you did not check, please be fire aware and help protect our beautiful country. Thank you. 😥
