Begonias

Terrarium begonias. Now what?

I had these in a terrarium since they were smaller, like 4 months ago when I got them. Some of the leaves have started to get smooshie, I guess too much humidity so I want to take them out. Are they going to miss their humid environment? Do I need to transition them out? I’m new to this. I don’t know what to do and it will break my heart if they die 🙁

What species do you have? The chlorosticta definitely needs terrarium conditions. Some species may fare better than others when being transitioned to houseplants but they need to be slowly acclimated.

Were the leaves that melted touching the glass? Was there water left sitting on the leaves? These two factors can lead to melt. It’s helpful to install a small fan in the terrarium if you can.
