whats wrong with her :(

she’s been standing at a south/west facing window, then i put her on the ground where there isn’t direct sun because it seems like she got sunburned. watering her like every two weeks a little. also: she isn’t really in the soil, i can just grab her and she’s out of the pot…

A common problem with cacti and succulents is etiolation. This is when a succulent stretches or becomes leggy. Reply with “!etiolation” for advice.

Every two weeks is way way way too frequent for aloe, and the soil needs more drainage. Likely you’re looking at root rot.

I would uproot it, rinse what’s left of the roots with 1% hydrogen peroxide, and put it into some gritty soil in a much smaller nursery pot – like 2/3 perlite, 1/3 organic.

Wait to water until the healthier leaves start to turn pale or get squishy, then soak the soil.

a south/west facing window should be perfect for your aloe. are the leaves mushy? my guess is you are overwatering, and her roots need to be in the soil. make sure it’s a well draining soil and consider sizing down her pot size. it could be taking too long to dry out/not drying out between waterings.

Don’t water a little. Soak the soil thoroughly, let it dry out, wait a couple of weeks and soak again. It shouldn’t take more than a week for all the soil to get bone dry
