No Lawns

Day 1 of No Lawns

The plan is to tear out all the grass, place a clear tarp on top to kill any remaining root systems, then plant some hydrangeas and euonymus japonicus on the outer edge closer to the rocks and then as a ground cover plant some crinkle leaf creeper. Location is Washington State and I have been working with a local plant nursery to create a pollinator friendly/mostly natives “lawn”. Hopefully after this first year we can plant some native ferns!

If you have any advice or suggestions, please let me know 🙂

If I were you I would look into planting native species to benefit your local pollinators
