Is this chili pequin growing through my backyard fence?

    I’m so jealous !! Mine died out. I don’t know if it was during the freeze or because some other tall weeds took over next to it. I did buy some dried peppers. I’m going to try to germinate them. You can pick off the red ones & put them in a bottle with vinegar. It makes a great hot sauce. When we were ” pinching pennies”, my Mom would make homemade bread & a pan of milk gravy for breakfast. We’d add a little bit of the Chiltepin sauce to the milk gravy to spice it up. Just dip the bread in the gravy & eat ! At 57 yrs old, it’s a comfort food for me.

    Those things will grow anywhere. Just take a cutting and stick it in some loose soil. Give it water the next several days cuz it doesn’t look like rain. Then, enjoy!
