Arboriculture

Big Burr oak cut today.

This Bur (Quercus macrocarpa) heaved and fell early spring. At the time, another contractor with appropriate equipment came in for clean up. Root ball has sat since, and we were doing some work in the area, that brought some new attention to the eyesore, so we took the opportunity to cut the top of the flair off and further outsource the removal of the root ball. I got the chance to make the cut and I’m pretty proud of it.

62” DBH
066 with a 38” bar

Cherry bark oak in the background is unrelated but also being transported to a different site.
