Indoor Garden

Please help- Curry Plant needs saving!

We have an indoor curry plant that's about 2 years old- we've been using grow lamps to ensure it gets light. It's been growing ok, but I recently noticed that despite looking fine, the leaves would fall easily if even lightly touched. I moved it outside hoping that the summer sun and humidity would strengthen it, given it's native to India.

Unfortunately, that seems to have made things worse- the leaves look droopy and are yellowing after just a couple of days despite ensuring it's watered well. I moved it inside again just to be safe, hoping it turns around.

Any advice on what might be going on and how to revive it? It's been well watered and fertilized with a slow release developed for curry plants.

Thanks so much in advance!

The pot is probably too large and the plant is probably over watered and sunburnt. If you move plants outside they need to acclimate by starting in the shade and working up to exposure. I don’t know curry plants, but these are all standing out to me as issues for plants generally

The pot is much too large! You’ll need to take it out and plant it in a considerably smaller pot with some well draining soil. Take it out of the direct sun – if it’s stressed, that’s only going to make it worse (plants need to acclimate to sun or they’ll burn). It’s very likely suffering from root rot. When you take it out of the pot, clip any roots that are soft and mushy. Plants are resilient – Once the root problem is addressed, it should bounce back!
