Gorgeous and my condolences. Do you have experience caring for orchids? I killed a few before I figured them out so I may not let yourself get emotionally attached to your first orchid

Hugs. And I don’t think it’s weird at all to name it after your Mum. I think it’s beautiful. I never had any luck with orchids until I started using an app called Planta. Helps get on a watering schedule and I’ve had an orchid rebloom since I started that. It has a lot of good info on lots of plants.
