Iโd expect this from Home Depot but not a local non-chain store. Three tiny plastic cage pots were in one 6 inch pot, and it took me like a half hour to get them off without destroying the roots. Have you ever seen this? I feel like it would slowly suffocate the plant.

Well, thatโs certainly a new one.
Probably just a lazy employee

That happened to me and my fiancee too!! She got a Agloanemia that still had 3 pots, we had to perform some very delicate surgery to get them off!
Coworker got the same plant and I noticed the exact same thing. Not sure where she picked it up from but I was flummoxed. Guess I need to help it out and get the plastic cages off.
I don’t know if these are worse or the fabric ones, they both suck.
This is normal for aglaonemas. Always have the check for these plastic cages when you get the plant home. It’s maddening ๐คฌ
This is common with agloanemias. I worked in a non chain greenhouse and every agloanemia we ever got in stock had this. Not sure who the vendor was or who they ordered from but I hate that vendors are that lazy and canโt take the time to properly repot their plants
Life finds a way
What medium do you pot agloanemias in?
This happened to me with my aglaonemas too. And I got them from a reputable local place. Apparently itโs to keep them intact during shipping
Yep, itโs a very common thing. Unfortunately. These plastic cages and the death mesh.
Burpee does this with petunias. It makes me not want to but more plants from them. Unless it’s a helpful thing and I’m out of the loop but it seems to inhibit full growth.
