Desert control – Is nobdy weirded out that a company can patent mixing clay and water and make money with that?

DESERT CONTROL (https://desertcontrol.com/) managed to patent a process to mix clay with water to green deserts… I cant find any critical analysis of this method, but I find it hard to believe, that this is something special. Everyone can do that. Can we have a discussion about that?
