It was so nice to see where you live. My goodness that is a long house. It looks huge! I love your backyard the garden, the birdfeeders, your ideas for an outdoor kitchen. There are so many YouTube cooks these days but I so enjoy your videos and ideas and recipes. Can’t wait to try a few more that I haven’t tried yet.

  2. You have a beautiful place, Dave. I think your idea for an outdoor kitchen is nice. I'd like to have something like that, nothing fancy, just a simple design. I've always said that food cooked outdoors tastes the best. Good luck and I'm looking forward to seeing your progress. 😊

  3. I think you have great ideas Dave! Your backyard would look nice with an outdoor kitchen! A good thing for the gas BBQ and fire pit 🔥 You will have a lot of cooking space once your outdoor kitchen is complete! Your garden looks awesome! It’s nice to see the end result, flourish!

    Please keep us updated!

  4. red green hua ? so you going to build it out of a old cadddy or ford van, or is it going to be a lawnmower so you can cook and ride ? ?? lol Rember if Woman don't find ya handsome they should at least find ya handy 😉

  5. Make sure you have access to any pipelines, etc. that connect to the actual house. Build in an access door from the start! I'm thinking especially of the pipe where you mentioned putting the sink. And I would make sure you have some kind of blinds or coverings to protect the area difficult sunlight streaming in as well as from heavy storms, whether rain or snow/ice.

  6. Great video Dave! I love love love your property, have fun with your outdoor kitchen! And… NO… I'm not old enough to get the Red Green reference at all. I know nothing of which you speak, lol

  7. First i must say that i love your back yard. The view is amazing and it looks so peaceful there. Love that big tree as well. I think that the sink is a good idea, and i would need a lot of counter tops if i were building it for myself. I was a carpenter for ten years but have only worked on about two outdoor kitchens. They were fairly simple. Basically a cook station, sink, mini outdoor fridge, and counter space. Most everything was stone, but when we framed in some openings with food to fit the grill, we covered the wood with cement board to protect from radiant heat. There wasnt much in the way of cabinetry outdoors because animals and bugs would likely get in there. Also i would definitely use the treated lumber as you mentioned, and also use a tinted water sealer on it. I am not sure how simple or involved you want to get but as the plan develops ide be glad to add my two cents lol. I enjoy building outside of my own house as often as i can. Also having a solid plan is a good way to start. I would look up simple outdoor kitchen ideas on the internet and start collecting ideas you like to begin with.

  8. Hah! I'm jealous, even once my new place is done, your yard is nicer then mine will be. LOL, oh well, I will be doing what I can with what I have and my new place is so much better then the current. Doesn't hurt that it's 50% larger then the old place.

  9. ❤where do you live sir? I love your idea of backyard cooking. Maybe I can visit you sometime!!!I live in Zephyrhills Florida. I’m an elderly lady who loves the outdoors!!!!

  10. You might want to put a railing by the stairs carrying items up and down could be a challenge. Just an idea ,some kind of ledge or shelf by the top of stairs to place items on so you don’t have to keep going up and down. This way all you have to do is grab them once you start bbq. Have fun designing your outdoor kitchen that’s what matters. Can’t wait to see it when it’s done. Your backyard looks so relaxing.

  11. I think your outdoor kitchen is a great ideal. Outdoor kitchens are very popular here in the south. I was thinking that you could use stacked plastic storage containers that are on rollers under your counter. This way you could bring the storage containers in for the winter. Love your home and back yard. 😁

  12. There is so much you can do with that space. Yes a sink is a must. Small frig is wonderful I promise you don't want to be running in and out of the house. You need counter top for cooking and you need storage too. Covering is a plus if you can. We used 4×4, 2×2, and tin roofing ( it added a nice sound when it rains ). You could put up a half wall to the right and hang all your outdoor cooking utensils. Okay I will stop. LOL. YOU GOT THIS.
