Hey I got this little plant from my friends but it doesn't Look good at All. Any Tips how to save the plant? Is there a chance that it develops a second leaf?
Take it out, put the entire node in a smaller vase and fill with water. If you have a humidifier, place it nearby. Make sure it’s getting indirect light. Develop a proper root system, and plant in soil before you worry about new leaves.

I don’t see anything concerning in these photos, as long as that black portion on the stem isn’t spreading. Looks like it’s in a kind of DIY ‘Pon’ mix, that can work, would love to see a picture of the jar, how’s the rest of that aerial root doing? Any visible signs of rotting? (Blackened aerial root, mushy, fouling the water).
