Hello tree experts!
These trees were planted last December. Can the stakes be removed? They seem to have taken root and are quite sturdy. I don’t want to remove them if they need to stay for another few months or whatever is recommended. Thank you!!

For reference they are about 4-5in across at the base of the tree
They stop the guy with the mower from driving in to the tree
Yes, you can probably remove them at this point. If you’re on the gulf coast you might wait until hurricane season is over, but barring any extreme winds they should be perfectly fine without the stakes
I would leave them be until the bark is thick enough to handle a car hit.
The tree might escape. That’s always my first thought when I see this situation.
Do you have an idiot neighbor who walks their dog on a retractable leash and lets the dog pee on your little tree? If yes, you might want to wait a few more years.
