Fiddle Leaf Fig

Recently moved, taken a turn

Fiona (the tree) was a sad little Aldi tree 3 years ago. She was doing well in our house despite my inconsistent watering (ADHD 😬)

We moved about 6 weeks ago and now these brown spots along the edges are appearing. I’ve tried to place the tree in a similar location in the new house (facing same direction, similar light through the day, same height in relation to the window) but I’m not sure what’s going on.

Have I forgotten to water too many times? Is it a root or pot problem?

And help is appreciated.

Looks like not enough water, potentially. Once a week, give it a good soak, but don’t water if the soil is still damp.

In my experience, blackening leaves indicate root rot. I would take her out of the pot and inspect roots. Cut away the rotten roots and repot with fresh soil.
