Why are my squashes suddenly no longer growing

I see the tiny fruit starting to bud but within a couple hours they turn brown and fall off. I’ve gotten some squash from this plant and it was going great. But now it won’t grow anything but make flowers while the female buds die off. Any specific reason why? It’s been hot and humid here, but I’ve kept up with watering.
