Should I put this in soil? It’s been in water for a few months. Not sure if I should leave it in water or not. I have never propagated this plant before.

I’m also propagating these for the first time… mine had a lot more roots before they had babies. I put them in dirt a month ago and have little leaves popping up…. They were in water for months and I didn’t get new leaves until I put them in dirt. I wonder why we got such different results. I put rooting hormone in the water, so if you didn’t that might explain it.
I’m musing/hypothesizing, slowly but surely figuring out how plants work.

I don’t know if you’re already aware of this but I just thought I’d share that snake plants do not carry their variegation through leaf cuttings, so the plant that grows from this will not have the white/cream around the edge.
