Hey everyone. Looking for some approval of my current design, or suggestions for something else? My original idea was to take that rock/mulch split design all the way around the house from the front to the backyard portion. I just got done running drip irrigation lines so my original concern was moisture by the foundation but now I'm wondering if I should go all rocks or maybe all mulch or leave as is?
3rd pic kinda shows from right to left where the 20" of rocks will go, edging, 4' of mulch for some spiral junipers and other filler, then the 2×4 is the beginning of a 4' walkway that will lead to backyard and then a 36" strip of mulch on the other end of that walkway.
Also, any plants that might work here? I'm in Zone 9a I believe in SoCal. I tried planying some tater tot arborvitae and they immediately got fried. Put some shade cloth to try to salvage them but the sun is brutal out here.Thanks for any tips.
