Cactus

My fluffy collection and attempt to ID all of them

I'm unsure about the Espostoa ones because they were only labeled Espostoa and that was it. Please feel free to correct me! They might not look so good cuz it hasn't been sunny the last few days.

1) Espostoa Nana
2) Espostoa…….Lanata(???)
3) Espostoa Melanostele (??) Cristata
4) Mammillaria Albicoma Cristata
5) Mammillaria Plumosa
6) Mammillaria Guelzowiana lau 640
7) Cephalocereus Senilis
8) Mammillaria Hahniana Superbar
9) Espostoopsis Dybowskii

  1. Espostoa (melanostele subsp.) nana is distinguished from Espostoa lanata by the average mature height of the plant (up to 1.5m for subsp. nana, up to 7m for lanata) and the color of the cephalium wool (pale yellow in nana, white or gray in lanata). Personally, I think these plants should be the same species, different subspecies, but I am no botanist…

3 is something monstrose I am not familiar with, could be anything really…

6 Cochemiea guelzowiana has hooked central spines (plants from the L640 locality are not known to be spineless!), wait for flowers to verify (guelzowiana flowers cannot be confused).

Never heard of “Superbar”, but looking around it seems to be the name (misspelled, should be ‘Superba’) for the especially woolly cultivar of Mammillaria hahniana.
