I remember those days with my “Old Man” (had to say goodbye to my first dog as an adult three years ago😢). Hard part of having a pet!

Oh how I can relate to this. We lost our Black Lab Max after 14 yrs. His legs did the same thing. He ended up losing all ability to stand & we had to make the absolute HARDEST decision of my life. We got him when my son was 3 & he’s the only pet my son ever had. They literally grew up together. He was definitely my other baby. So missed! ❤

You need to look up the millennial gardener he does all his fences with fruit trees and he's a fig professional
13 is already a beautiful age for a dog, so many loving years arround you 2 and the kids. I got 5 dogs (and a few k9 units of my own company) and 1 of them.. a male german shep is 12 now, and i give him every other day some fatty tuna, and he still runs arround with the others, but yeah he gets tired faster. BUT luckily (knock on wood) the tuna helps keeping the artritis away… so far. I wil keep Mac in my prayers..
Sweet Max! It's so hard when they slow down. We started injections to help with my pups arthritic pain but switch to Wuffes and it's really made a difference. She has a littke puppy in her again. We can't go on really long walks but she does walk and can jump up onto the sofa and most of the time into the car.
I don't know if you are giving the sweet boy any supplements, but my friend had some success with Cosquin when his dog grew older so she could move better. Jack Hanna had a commercial about it, too. My friend and I had the same veterinarian, and his technician recommended this. The big bottle at Costco given to people is safe to give to dogs and cheaper, but I'm not sure of the dosage. It is probably according to weight. I remember it can be adjusted. This was a few years ago. I'm sorry he is having challenges. Thank you for letting us know. Dogs are awesome and worthy family! Oh man, Camera Guy, I’m getting all choked up because I know how hard it is to watch our furry friends age. Mac is one lucky dog to have such a loving family. I know he knows it too.
