New home needs some life!

Our new home is really lacking curb appeal. Where should I start with the gardens to bring colour and life into the front?

I’m all for planting natives and colorful flowers, but i will say i don’t think your curb appeal is bad at all the grass is very healthy which adds i think to the appeal. But some color would help add some more vibrancy to it, you could even set up a walkway with flowers or plants on each side that would look pretty i see you already have your driveway right there but that extra walkway space would add just some more appeal

I want to dig the sod out around the evergreen tree and bushes. Make a really nice landscaping feature. I’d put a birdbath on that stump and add some colorful flowers, mulch/rock, and a nice border.

I’d want to take the elbow out of the downspout and take it to ground level then use a splash block to allow the water to move away from the foundation. I also agree with adding more color especially near the front walk and porch. Maybe rhododendron or azalea? I’m not sure how well they would do in your zone.
